Calvin Timothy Leong is a self confessed “food lover” who views the world as an “exciting sumptuous buffet spread with lots to see, smell, taste, feel, learn and experience.” He is a food and lifestyle blogger whose blog focuses on food, fashion, entertainment and technology.

ABOUT HIM Don’t be fooled by his slim build and young looks; there is more to Calvin Timothy Leong than meets the eye. More affectionately known as CalvinTimo online and by his friends, this blogger has seen and been through a lot in life, resulting in his unique character and positive attitude. Calvin is known as the “sunshine boy;” he is always optimistic and loves to bring smiles to the people around him. Once in a while, he can even be seen fooling around with stuffed toys!

Blogging Background Having been blogging for about 5 years, Calvin loves sharing information with his friends and readers. Previously, he blogged about his personal thoughts and opinions and shared it with his friends. His blog was a success and the readership soared. With encouragement from some overseas bloggers, he decided to write about other topics he was interested in. His current lifestyle blog, The Foodielicious World (www.calvintimo.com) has been around for almost 2 years and cover topics such as Entertainment, Food, Fashion, Travel and Technology. An adventurous person, Calvin loves experiencing the many different things of this world and his blog has given him numerous opportunities to travel abroad, network with great people like Celebrity Chef Wan and made some precious friends along the way. Studies & Career Calvin developed a passion for serving others, loving the satisfaction of making someone’s day and putting a smile on their face. Hence, he took up a Hospitality and Tourism course and recently graduated with a Bachelor degree in International Hospitality Management. Initially, he planned to work in the Integrated Resort (IR) upon graduation but was offered a job as a Social Media Consultant in a PR agency. Although the scope of the role was beyond his area of study, Calvin’s determination to try new things lead him to take the position. Calvin’s philosophy is that “Every day is a brand new day with lots to see, learn and experience,” and, like his blog suggests, he plans on “Experiencing Life to the Fullest.”

Hobbies Being an avid lover of food, Calvin loves cooking at home and his favourite food is pasta. He likes watching food and travel shows such as “No Reservations” by Anthony Bourdain and shows by Gordon Ramsay. Besides eating, he loves working out and keeping fit, especially by running or playing badminton with friends. Calvin believes that “only with good health, you can experience the best in life!” He also loves photography and lomography too and seeks to capture the moment before it slips away. What’s drives Calvin? Calvin believes he is Astro Boy and he can accomplish tasks beyond his limits. Or rather, he believes that he won’t allow others to pull him down and is constantly striving to improve himself to perfection (if there is such a thing). Calvin wants to live his life meaningfully and make a difference in the lives of others. Just like Astro Boy, his undying spirit to help the world, a bit at a time, lives within him. He enjoys volunteering his free time to help others, especially those who are underprivileged or with special needs. Calvin believes that “A little more love makes the world a better place, don’t you agree?” Have a dinner date with me! I enjoy making new friends and I want YOU to be the special one! I believe that in Singapore with its population over 5 million, some of us won’t even get to bump into each other in our lifetime. A group date with all the bloggers and the Sold.sg founders will be held at Limoncello Restaurant.

Limoncello Restaurant is the brainchild of Restaurateur Mark Anthonisz and Fabio Iannone who have brought about a Team of talented individuals including Evecutive Chef’s Emiddio Cioffi and Mauro Crescendo from the Amalfi Coast.

Fabio Iannone is a Chef by Profession having founded La Braceria with Chef Emiddio who returned from Japan for Limoncello’s project. A Trained Sommelier from Accor Hotels and having worked with Gordon Ramsey’s, Daniel Boulud and Marina Bay Sands Singapore to name a few, Mark has been tasked with heading both the Front and Heart of Limoncello’s House.

Limoncello strives to exceed the expectations of it’s guests. Genuine Service and Traditional Fare from the coast of Amalfi is the focus of each new day. Napolitana wood fired pizzas and charcoal grilled meats and seafood is what distinguishes us from the rest.
